Leon Sürder is a 17-year-old guitarist and composer from southern Switzerland. He began his musical journey at the age of 8, joining his first band at 13 and releasing both an album and an EP. Since then, he has built a solo career centered on instrumental music that feels vocal — melodies shaped with the phrasing, emotion, and storytelling power of a human voice.

After a year of pre-college jazz studies at SMUM Lugano, Leon is preparing to continue his musical education at university, focusing on music performance and composition. Alongside his solo work, he is developing a new vocal-driven band project, expanding his expressive range and collaborative skills.

His music blends progressive, math-rock, and instrumental storytelling with precision and emotional depth, aiming to engage listeners of all backgrounds — even those who typically rely on vocals to connect with a song. With a growing discography, live performances, and an ever-evolving sound, Leon is carving out a distinctive voice in modern guitar music.
